Think of universal emotions. Laughter or smiles, crying tears, they mean the same in any language. Who among us has never experienced loneliness? When far away from loved ones, we want to return to them and be with them.
Few feelings create more despair than feeling isolated. Even when we are young we may do anything just to belong, to be part of a family or a group of people. We seek friendship and relationship.
Have you ever thought that God too wants relationship? Even the mystery of the Trinity- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is essentially a relationship of three in one. God himself desired and brought about His creation, and so even He is not alone.
Instead God is very much a part of creation, both in creating and being within creation. We might think of soul as within all life.
He brought to life all life and lives within it, wanting this unity.
